Subject: Seen This Morning

Written By: DoRitos on 11/27/08 at 1:46 pm

Share with us all something you saw today.  It doesn't need to be first thing in your waking day or anything amazing or earthshaking.  Just something you saw during your day that stands out.  Please use real life scenes - no television please.  Just everyday life.  I guess I'll start it off.  Early this morning I saw a cat making his way back home around sun up.  He had to pass by a chained dog.  The cat knew exactly the dog's reach that his chain allowed and gingerly stepped passed the dog with about three inches to spare.  The dog freaked.  The cat stayed cool.

ya...sometimes kids tend to be restless in the carts..and their parents don't watch them properly, thus resulting in them nearly falling out and onto the floor. ::)

no...I work at a discount store...we just have regular (typical kind of) carts.

Subject: Re: Seen This Morning

Written By: Rice_Cube on 11/27/08 at 6:55 pm

Ah, the kids in the cart, even after all the warning labels telling parents NOT to put kids in the basket...and then you warn the parents verbally that they should supervise their kids, and even after the kid almost falls over and cracks their head open, the parents still don't care.

At that point you just go "whatev" and let nature take its course.

Sadly no.  The battery in our digital camera has stopped holding its charge.  The other camera was in the car and I thought all the banging of doors going to look for it would scare them off.  I really need to get photos of them because they are fairly regular visitors

Yesterday probably didn't amount to more than an inch as it stopped shortly after.  I think they got about 2 feet or so, knew I should have taken a pic of the table out back because today is warming up (relatively speaking) and most of the snow has melted.

Oh, and I just noticed my spelling error...sorry!  marmallow of course should be marSHmallow!  :-[

I remember when Micah got it.  Bear in mind she is half African American and has LOTS of hair.  When she was 4 I kept it in braids.  I remember when she got it, it was right after the first time I had put multiple rows of braids in and got the rows straight (major accomplishment).  I STILL don't know what possessed me to listen to the woman at the health dept who told me to take them out.  It would have been A LOT easier to check each braid individually and with it braided I could actually see her scalp.  It was right before Halloween and I couldn't get her hair done, so I had her go trick or treating as Tina Turner.  I have a pic of her somewhere.  I'll find it and scan it so you can see just how "wild" my wild child was!

Hang in there, this too shall pass.  I'm sure you already have tried it, but I used Nix shampoo.  It requires multiple applications.
