I just bought 20+ tv dinners because they were on sale for $1.69. I am trying to stop eating out at work so now I have stuff to take with me for lunch.

My grocery bill for 20+ frozen dinners, 2 half gallon tubs of neopolaten ice cream, two quarts of ben & jerrys ice cream, three 2 liter bottles of mountain dew  was 70 dollars but then the lady scanned my club card and the price dropped to 53 dollars.  :)

Hmm, good idea Mike.

Let's see, off the top of my head my last grocery run went something like this, give or take.

2 boxes of Captain Crunch.
A pound of Hard salami.
2 loaves of the cheap white bread.
Peanut Butter (crunchy).
Braunschweiger (not sure how much, still have some left though).
Several things of Brats because they were on sale.
Quite a lot of noodles.
Some of those chunky soups.
Some chicken breasts.
A bag of carrots.
An onion.
Several bottles of Dr. Pepper.
Snickers bars.
Ice Cream.

..and more stuff. I'm not sure how much I paid (my shops generally come in under $40 before I go to the liquor store) but I usually go to the B.X so don't pay any sales tax or anything.

My last trip, last night.  Bandaids, a frozen pizza, some gingerbread cookies, muffins, cheese, milk and bananas.  Yes, it was a crap run.  I went for bandaids, but made the mistake of going hungry.

The total was $21.19 and I had a $20 prescription credit so I walked out paying $1.19.  Love credits. ;D

My grocery list has become pathatic. Before they started to take insurance from Tim and cut his hours I would spend between 90-130 on groceries a week, now I can only afford between 30-70,depending if he has to pay on any bills,do you know how hard it is to feed 2 adults(3 when Timmy comes home) and a pregnant teenager for that little.Plus 4 cats & a dog.Luckily Misy gets WIC,so are eggs, cheese, milk, peanut butter, juiceand some fruit are free.I get a SS disability check which goes toward the bills, this month I have to save some for Christmas, next month we need to start buying Missy her baby supplies.
http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee204/Whitetiger2162007/goingcrazy9.jpg

My basic grocery list
2 frozen pizzas

bread
cat food- 1 bag 2-4 packs of moist
bag of dog food

ham& turkey lunch meat
Variety of soups
lipton noodles-or store variety
Toaster strudels
either 1lb of boneless chicken or pork
toilet paper
small bags of chips for Tim to take to work.

When I get money: we get,bath soap,shampoo,conditioner,dish soap.laundry soap,fabric softner,rolaids,pain relievers,hot pockets,chili and food that Missy picks out.Mayo.ketchup

I do not have much of a shopping list right now, I try to only go "real" grocery shopping once ever 6 weeks :P :P :P  So as you can imagine, I stock up when I do go.

Yes I still have to go for -

milk
eggs
bread
produce (whatever we need)

but other than that not much

But you wait about 4 weeks from now, I will have the shopping list to compete with any of you ;)

There is an independent grocer going out of business near here.  It is very sad, but,  everything is 50% off.  I went yesterday and spent $100 on canned goods, stuff I can stock up on, I am going back today and see what's left.

It's a fairly traditional combination (in England, at least).  You can also buy mushy peas with mint sauce at fairgrounds

If you try and reheat them in the microwave they take on a texture similar to polystyrene

I went to the supermarket that is closing down and stocked up on items for 50% off.  A lot of the stuff was sold off already, but I got coffee, tea, lots and lots of chocolate bars(Giaradelli mmmmm..) canned tomatos, cranberries, juices, soups, jellies, canned veggies.  Stuff you can put in the pantry for months and months. All told the bill came to 183.00, but with the -50% I only paid 96.50  Can't beat that  :)

Among the things I bought today:

milk
limes
potatoes
leeks
white wine
sour cream
goldfish crackers
Teddy Grahams
other snacky foods
bananas
cookies
baking soda
peanut butter
juice
pop
emergency car kit

The peanut butter and limes are for the Thai peanut sauce I make, and the sour cream and white wine are for the beef Stroganoff I will attempt sometime this week.  The snacky foods are for the road trip.

Duncan Hines makes the moistest cakes - they are the mixes that the bakery's use ;)  Not as many flavors though :-\\
