Apparently, I got a notice of eviction, despite the fact that I paided my rent for the last couples.

I have no idea what's going on, and even less of an idea, of what's coming up next.

I hope things work out OK for you Jamie.  If you paid your rent, then you shouldn't be getting evicted

I suppose the obvious question is do you have a lease? if so see a lawyer or arbitrator ...

i've heard of things like this happening, the tenants pay the rent but if the landlord doesnt keep up their payments they get foreclosed on and the tenants suffer. some places have a legal requirement where if this is what's happened they're required by law to give you 90 days or 120 days grace period. you might want to see if that applies in your area.

Yeah, what Tia said.  It may not have anything to do with you and everything to do w/ your landlord.  Have you talked to him/her about their mortgage payments or anything?  Please keep us posted.  Sending positive thoughts your way.

I don't know where you are located, but there are a lot of places, especially now, dealing with people who are getting evicted.  See if you can look one up, they may be able to help you.

I'm not evicted yet, but I'll keep you all updated.
