so I am going to use one out of context because have you ever seen a smiley face used where it doesn't belong? :-*
So I knew this guy who got bit by a dog and he cried tears 8)
A man walked down the street and tripped over the curb, chipping 3 teeth :)

Yeah when I first started here I accidentally used a >:( when I meant a :( and somebody thought I was mad at them and got all defensive. I'll see if I can find that.
Edit to add: I found it but the response from whoever it was is gone now... so it doesn't have the same effect

I've seen :P used for context that were slightly off cuff. Lyricboy and Max have been known to do that.
