my first car, a 74 Volvo, was dubbed the Urban Assault Vehicle by me... I drove it like one too circa 85-90  ;D
my next car was  1990 Nissan Pickup truck.... no frills on that baby it was just an engine and a shell, I called him Scooter.... he was red
my current car, a 98 CRV - I got him in 2001... I call him Oscar (as filthy as I keep him he's aptly named! but honest the name came first)

When I moved to St. Louis I bought an old ass Oldsmobile. The sonofabitch runs perfect, never had a problem with it. After a series of incidents, it too was christened the UAV, not by me, but by my passengers. I hit a car from behind at 45 MPH and it didn't even stall, a truck drove in to the side of the car and it took about 10 minutes with a hammer and a wood block to fix most of the damage, I park it by brail and it's never had a problem.

Now I also have a behemoth truck, a real old Ford (older than the UAV) which is practically indestructible. It's the B.A.Tmobile. The Big Ass Truck-mobile.

I recently purchased a little sports convertible, but as I don't have it road worthy yet, it doesn't have a name yet, my other project car is nowhere near road worthy and as such also doesn't have a name.. of course.. it doesn't have an engine, transmission, rear seat..etc..etc.  ;D

Growing up the family had a green station wagon we called the "Green Bomb".

My Dad has a light blue pickup he calls "Why the hell did I buy this?"

I call the jeep "damn piece of crap".

I just usually call ours a "piece of shyt". :P

This is a "Champ" lookalike.  I don't have a good pic of her, so this one looks like her, but we have running boards. She is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned.  I've had her for 9 years-got her when Matthew was 6 months old.  I really need a new vehicle, because I have put a TON of miles on her, but we just can't part with Champ.  She's been SO good to us!  And luckily, somehow still barely a scratch on her. Matthew has allowed me to get a new car, but we have to keep Champ forever.....when I do get something else, I just want a new Explorer, or maybe an Expedition.  Maybe that pretty sage green color....

When I was in high school I drove my great-grandma's butter yellow, 1983 Plymouth Reliant.  I called it my Bad Mother F*^$@# after Samuel L. Jackson's Wallet in Pulp Fiction.  I also thought it really fit the character of the car.

My one and only car was a brown Ford Escort and I was going to call it 'Newkie' after Newcastle Brown my favourite drink but it was a complete pile of sheeshe and used to do this weird thing where you would feel the accelerator peddle go down under your foot when you were applying no pressure to it, really frightening actually so I called it 'Christine' after the Stephen King book about the possessed car!

My Mum's car was called Daffy because the number plate had the letters D- FEH and it was bright yellow.
