Subject: Need help with a project LOL

I always use to cringe when we saw titles like that on the 80s board !!!!

But I do need help.

Friend is 40 this weekend and I had the bright idea of making a cd of songs that were in the charts in August 1969 around the world.

Been googling all night and not finding sites that help much - keep finding sites that list event of the year and a few songs.

Anyone got any hints as to where I could find some listings.  Naturally I have left it till the last minute!

Simply google '1969 in music' and then scroll down the site. The wiki site lists all events, albums and singles from that year ...and you can click on other years as well...

I was going to mention this as well. There USED to be a great Aus. music site listing all the Top 40 hits dating from 1950 to present -  but alas, it is no longer  :( :( :(

Btw your friends name isn't Sonia is it..? I'm going to a 40th tonight ! Theme: Bollywood - should be fun ! :D 8)

LOL obviously plenty of gals turning 40 this weekend !  My pal is Gina and she is an indigenous jazz singer and we have been besties since our mid teens when we worked in a deli together.

Whistledog that list gives me a fabulous selection !

I am sitting here in Publisher making her a greeting card covered in photos I have taken of her since she was 15 and putting bits of text about the events of 69 like the moon landing and woodstock etc and will go the my cds later as I am pretty sure I have enough from WD's list to make a full cd.

PS Karen - I know I am bad! I pop in and browse still but just havent had a whole lot to say recently.

Thats for all the help folks - I made a A4 sized card on photo paper. Front page was a montage of photos of her thru the 25 years we have known each other - in the shape of a G - thanks to a snazzy program called shapecollage.com

on the inside I made little boxes looking like newspaper cutouts with events of the year, films and music of the year.

And she rocked the house at her birthday gig today. Big turn out and two albums worth of music. We all had fun :)
