Subject: Things I'm Thankful for this Thanksgiving:

Written By: Badfinger-fan on 11/25/09 at 6:51 pm

I've got many things to be thankful for. of course the obvious ones are

I'm thankful for - a good wife in Lady Di. what would I do without her?  ::)  she really does a lot in our family and home.

I'm thankful for - my daughter Julie who is awesome and has a passion for living her life in a way that amazes me.

I'm thankful for the internet and having a computer so I can hang out at inthe00s

and I'm really thankful that Cal beat Stanford in The Big Game last Saturday so the AXE stays in Berkeley!

That goes without saying.  ;)

It's been a pretty rough year, but I'm thankful for my friends and family. Health, help, food and shelter - I can work on the rest.

That Micah is doing well in college

That I am still employed (esp since MI has the highest unemployment rate in the country)

That I have a man who loves me just as I am

I'm not really thankful because I had my thanksgiving last month ;D

But I am thankful that I finally have a full 2 day weekend where I don't have to do anything except sit around and do jack squat.

I hear ya. I'm sure everyone here knows that it has been a VERY rough year for me (and I survived it without cigarettes  ;D ;D ;D ).

The first and foremost of what/who I am thankful for is Carlos-my husband, my lover, my rock, my chef, my chauffeur, and most important, my best friend. I wonder how I could have gotten though this past year without him.

I am thankful that his PSA score has gone down and we can call him "Cancer-Free Carlos".

I am thankful that my family has been coming together even though we still have some issues.

I am thankful that I am called Grandma "Cat" by 4 beautiful little girls (and next year there will be 1 more-either girl or boy, to be added).

I am thankful to ChuckyG for creating such a wonderful place full of wonderful people. I am thankful for all of you helping me get through this pass year.

I am thankful that I actually got to meet a bunch of you in March in Philly. That was great.

And the usual, I am thankful that I am healthy, and that I don't have to worry about being hungry, or cold, or anything like that.

I'm thankful I am healthy, have a wonderful wife who tolerates my sense of humor, and have a nice church to attend and have fun on these boards as well.

I am thankful this freakin' day is just about over.

A synopsis:

Since it was the first time we've seen the sun in a week I decided to take the Harley for a ride. Not realizing the
tires were wet when I turned a corner the ass end of the bike skipped out. It took every bit of my experience
to regain control and stay upright. Later, I took my wife to the store in the truck, as I was talking to her about
my bike experience I backed into the neighbors truck denting his bumper.

This is definitely a day to forget.

Some karma for ya. I know it really can't help but I figured it can't hurt.

There's so much...where to begin...Most obviously I'm thankful for Cat, who has stood beside me and supported me through my cancer treatments and been understanding of the side effects.  I have 4 great kids, and have a great relationship with all of them, and 4 terrific little granddaughters (I just talked to 2 of them from Cal.) who are very loving and very special.  There is much more, but you get the idea.  If I were religious I would say I was blessed.  The Goddess has been good to me.

HEY!  Any day that you come that close to dumping your bike, then you don't, is a good day.    ;)  (been there, done that  :(  )

The more I think about it the more I realize, your right.

I spent $300 for the Riders Edge Safety Course before I received my motorcycle license. I'll tell you,
it was $300 well spent. The four day course taught me how to handle such situations. I recommend
taking the safety course for anyone who wants to ride.
