Considering that you are only 10 years older then me, I doubt you got around THAT  early... although knowing you...I should doubt nothing.  lol
It would be pretty creepy of my mom, although it would explain my penchant for foreign guys (or at least guys that can do an accent.  ;D)

I decided it was and said so...  :D  truth is a friend and I came to that conclusion independently... I have always had trouble with money...cuz I'm an immediate gratifier...pay now for what I want- deal with the consequences of responsibility later  :D  seemed my sophomore year of college was really tight... I was 30- homeless for 2 months and, once I got an apartment, working three jobs while going to school full time- yet I was always broke and always had a bill to pay....seemed like - and always just at the last minute...money would land at my feet...

a check I wasn't expecting would arrive, an impromptu lotto ticket would hit, something...


longer story is I have always had a problem with housing in SB and every time it looked like I was sunk something came thru.... even in that two month period I was homeless - the only reason was UCSB had increased its acceptance....there was an influx of apartment seekers and I made a verbal agreement with  the guy I was had a 3 mo summer lease to rent the place in the fall but when he found out about the apartment crisis he realized he could get 3x his rent and back out of our agreement. 

there was absolutely no where to live in the area (not for me cuz I refused to share) and I couldn't find any solo aparts....sometime I'll tell you the crazy apt hunting stories  ;D  anyway- one apt opened up- in Nov. It was small and affordable- people were still scrambling for housing don't know why no one knew about that place but everyone missed it... she had it open twice- hoping for more than just me- but luck held out and I was the only one (well there was one couple but she refused to have a couple live in a studio) so I got it.....


basically I've always been pretty lucky....even when things are bad I know that they could be worse.... and my friend told me I must live under the sign of a lucky rabbits foot or something.... I had come to the same conclusion and decided the rabbit was my spirit animal  8)
