I hope you don't mind me giving you some constructive criticism. It is obvious that you modeled it after this board. Many of your sections are pretty much like this one. Why would someone go to your board if they can come to this one? You need to make your board different.

Also, when Chucky first started this board, there was only a couple of sections. He added sections when people showed interest in having separate sections. When I joined, there wasn't a political section, or a birthday section, or many of the other sections that are on this board now. Until you start getting the traffic, you will find many of those sections MAY only get one or two threads.

Thank you for the feedback! I really appreciate it, because I have been trying to ask for other people's feedback for several months now and I haven't received any at all. It has really frustrated me, because I feel as though i'm wasting my time and if people actually DID share their opinion on the site, I could make changes so that it would be more appealing!  >:(

I agree that it is somewhat similar to inthe00s. I would like to make it completely different and unique in it's own way, but no one has made any suggestions as to how I could change it. That's why it remains similar to these forums. I made several boards, because I thought people might find the website boring if it only contained one or two sections. To be honest, it doesn't really worry me too much it only have a couple of threads are created in each one (until more people join). I just wish I could make the site more appealing, so that more people join the forums.

I have finished working on a project that took over six months to complete. Here is a compilation of Australian releases which charted within the ARIA Top-50 during the 1990's. Due to the YouTube Video Editor closing in three days time, I won't get a chance to add every single song into the compilation, although I was able to document most of them. I know most of you wouldn't be interested in it, but I just had to share it. :P

I have made a generations sub-board on my new forum. Not sure if that's a good thing or if I will eventually regret it, but it's there anyway. :P I was considering making a board based on decadeology, but there's a lot of backlash against it and it would probably only turn into dispute anyway, so I decided not to.

When somebody hates you it's usually because they have no life and they want to drag down the most convenient target with them.  I've experienced a lot of that on my Platinum Blonde videos where somebody just deliberately hates me for no reason other than they don't have a life.  Not that anything like that has ever bothered me at all because, in, the end, only the person who's doing all of the hating on me is only making him/herself look stupid not me.

I completed my project.

I've always loved the sound of early 1960's surf guitar, and it's been my dream to get a Fender Jazzmaster (which, along with the Jaguar, was the choice of the surf guitarists) but they cost between $800 and $1300 and I didn't want to spend that kind of money. Then I found out that Squier (the "budget' subsidiary of Fender, similar to what Epiphone is to Gibson) came out with a model called the Vintage Modified Jazzmaster, which runs for less than $400. It had nothing but stellar reviews online, so I bit the bullet and bought one back in February, like the one pictured below.

I've had an old Fender amplifier lying around that I hadn't used for the last 5 years and I plugged my Jazzmaster into it but I couldn't quite get the sound I wanted out of it. Classic surf guitar has a distinctive "drip" sound to it that can only be made by a tube Fender Reverb Unit. The original was made from 1961 to 1966 but they cost well over $1000 for a vintage one. Fender reissued them in the 1990's but the reissues are going for around $800+. Again, I didn't want to spend that kind of money. There was an effects pedal that attempted to replicate the sound digitally but it wasn't quite right.

Then I found out about a company in Sweden that makes a DIY kit that has a circuit board that is a clone of the vintage Fender units, with the exception that it uses MOSFET transistors instead of vacuum tubes. I researched it further on an surf guitar message board and it had rave reviews and so I decided that I would try and build one of my own.

The actual kit (which included the circuit board, some wires, input/output jacks, controls, and a DC power outlet) cost around $50. For the chassis I went with a Harbor Freight tool box, and I also had to buy some RCA cables, a spring reverb tank (which only cost around $20), an on-off switch, an LED indicator light, and a DC power supply. Altogether the parts cost me around $100 (though I also spent at least $150 more on tools).

Having never soldered before, I bought a practice soldering kit off of Amazon for about $15. When done, it was supposed to replicate a European siren. It had lots of capacitors and resistors and was fairly complex but when I finished it, it worked perfectly and I had the confidence to tackle the Surfy Bear.

The tool box required a lot of drilling (and some filing) for all the switches and jacks but I got it done in a couple of days. The soldering itself was much simpler than the practice kit.

Anyway, I got 'er done and it sounds fantastic, especially with the Jazzmaster.

I attempted to launch one earlier in the year, however I didn't put in the effort needed for it to have any chance of being a success and it became inactive. This time, i'm determined to make it work. You can listen to it at any time of the day.

If you tune into the station between 7pm - 8pm EST, there will be a programming block based on the biggest hits of 2002. Immediately after that, starting at 8pm EST, there is a program playing a selection of classic '60s hits. I'm planning on making more programming blocks in the next few days. :)
