We are sorta done... I just have to find the "best" deal on a iPod Touch....I know there is not going to be a tremendous deal, but I can hope for a $20+gift card or something to go with it.  as the girls get older, shopping seems to get easier

As a teacher you should qualify for apples educational discount. It think it's only 10% off. Then again....it's 10% off.  ;)

Luckily for me, Meg never got into them.  She id have a Bitty Baby (gift from grandma) and one of the dolls that look like you.  She had to get it cause we went to the store in NYC and my rich aunt bought it for her...they're both buried at the bottom of the toy closet.  ;D

I still get the catalogs...let me see if I have any coupons.

Neither one of the girls have a single one.  My mother would buy one, but she doesn't need that type of bill.  My hubby's mom and dad only spend $30 on the kids for Christmas, and $20 for b-day (even though they can afford way more, they like to spend it on themselves - oh well) and hubby's rich aunt with no kids and travels the world (well that is the "blood" one - I wouldn't even hope).  So it is up to us.  My hubby's sister told me that Target has "look alikes" but I just do not think that will do in this case. I remember everyone getting the real cabbage patch doll's and I got a "look alike" I wondered why Santa did not like me so....   :P

Thanks for looking!  I keep looking online.

Meg had one of the dolls from Target, you can tell a difference in the quality however I would suggest going to Target for the clothes and accessories.  You can really save money doing that and the stuff like the horses, clothes and furniture are really cute.

Oh, I didn't find any coupons.

Oh well, thanks for looking.  Yes, I have seen the stuff at Target, and I totally agree - I can buy "accessories" and other stuff there WITHOUT any problem, but the doll, I think I need to get the real deal.  Sooooo, there goes my iPad again (maybe after Valentines day - my daughters b-day as well....  nothing planned for that paycheck beside bills  ::)) I think this is as much for me as them now, I so want to take them to a store (we haven't been to the Mall of America yet - maybe this will be my "girls weekend out" for spring break that I have always wanted to do).

Yeah.  They suck (See above.  More than ten years ago and I still can't stop laughing.)

Laugh while you can, monkey boy!

After they're gone, to hell with most of their cousins, namely the chimps.  With the exception of the Bonobos.  As far as primates go, they're cool.  I'd like to see what they could do for the place in a few million years.  Even if they don't rediscover Kepler 22-b, they'll have a lot more fun failing at getting off this rock than my species did.

That's tough. You should, out of respect to your dad, get her something. But just a small impersonal item. No grand gestures are necessary.
A candle. A picture frame. A scarf.

Having said that- if you hate her don't get her anything. If it's the idea of her you hate then do it for your dad.

I don't hate her.  I just don't know her well enough to know what she'd like.

Why not get something that is sort of generic-some chocolate/candy, a necklace, bath items, a scarf, etc.

presumption - she's old ...  "Holiday Sweater" is screaming as the perfect gift!  She will love it, it will seem personal enough that you thought of her, but yet you will be laughing the whole time and there are some awesome sales on them now  8)

The first year my dad and his girlfriend were together, I bought her a really nice pair of leather driving gloves.  Everyone can use nice gloves in the winter...

Christmas shopping?  It would be a great thing if it wasn't for the Christmas shoppers.

I told some angry christmas shopper to fukk off after he cut me off in line and made a smart ass comment about it.  I know it's bad, but it made me feel good to tell him that.  I've been walked on by Christmas shoppers for years now.  This was my first vengance lol

AWWWWWW.

The other day, I was reading in the paper Hints from Heloise. Someone wrote that instead of labels, she puts the kid's pic on the package. I was thinking, "What a great idea." Before I acted upon it-SIL did. She read the same article and thought, "What a great idea."  :D ;D ;D ;D ;D  So, this year, all the kids' packages will not have labels but their pics on them. It is great for the little ones who can't read yet.

2 American girls and matching pajamas now bought!  WHEW - damn that I had to get the "rush" shipping at 48.00  :P  But hey - I just got paid my once a month salary...  No credit card expense  :-\\

I have one present that I ordered a couple of days ago.  I didn't want to pay a fortune for express shipping (didn't realise the company was based in the US till too late) and I was worried it wasn't going to get here in time.  Anyway I just had an e-mail saying it was shipped 6 days early!

Going shopping after lunch to pick up the last few bits.  Then I've just got a wrapping marathon

Went and did most of my shopping yesterday, other than a few stocking stuffers and a couple of books from Books-A-Million my kids are DONE!!!  Came home and wrapped it all!!  I swear the boxes get smaller and smaller each year, so I put some small things in big boxes to make it look more impressive under the tree.

I will need to do some of that, hopefully this week or next. But I want to get it all done before the 18th.

I'm more of a last minute person lol. I will do my Christmas shopping this week or on the 23rd, haha. I have no idea what to get for everyone on my list but I'm sure I can find some nice things.
