Since you like Cats, 2011 was the year of the Cat in Vietnamese, but rabbit in Chinese.

Just subtract 12 from each year going backwards and you'll get the years of the cat. For example 2011 minus 12 is 1999, 1999 was the year of the cat in Vietnam!

Guess I'm a little late, it snuck up on us this year. Wife's brother and sister called on the same day. We knew something was up. :D
