Today, the 26th of June of 2017......I graduated from high school. This was a great and prideful moment for me and my family.

My new journey and adult life begins....I'm both scared and excited :D.

New York City's public schools usually have their school years end around June.

Oh. It's just that public schools end in may or early June, not around July except for year round schools.

New York City is kinda different due to their late age cutoff system. It makes sense since they allow kids that are born in December to be in Kindergarten by the time they're 4 and a half. Although they have to turn 5 by the time they go to Kindergarten, which is how I made it in my elementary school in late 2004.

I plan on being either a Video Game Developer, general software programmer, pilot, or accountant. Maybe, even do some entrepreneurship on the side.

If Americans graduate high school, they either go to college (if they want to), try to relax (which isn't recommended) or get a job somewhere. Frankly, going to college in America is important since most jobs in the U.S. require college degrees.

Oh right. Here in the UK, we graduate HS at 16 and there's three options after you finish; you go to something called "sixth form",  (which is a continuation of school for another two years) college, or getting a job. Bare in mind however, college here is a lot different, you don't live there in dormitories and you don't have to have certain grades to get in (although you do with certain classes).

There are some colleges that don't require you to live in dormitories. That's pretty much a generalization from American colleges, although the majority of them have dormitories.
