I used oils only once in my life and found that it takes too long to dry. I work with acrylics now. I do love the richness of oil paints though. :)

I used oils only once in my life and found that it takes too long to dry. I work with acrylics now. I do love the richness of oil paints though. :)

I have a set of oils and never got brave enough to start a proper painting using them. I just did a small practice painting, and yes, they take days to dry! They are hard to mix and thick. I guess the only upside is that they allow you to fix mistakes when they don't dry right away and I could give them another shot.

I doubt it's good to breathe turpentine in either.
