Subject: Numbers and Genders

Written By: violet_shy on 05/09/19 at 8:58 pm

Ok..

This might be strange for some of you, but I just want to know if anyone else does this. It's kinda funny but weird!

We all know what numbers are. Well, sometimes I feel that numbers have genders based on how the number looks. For example: the number 7. To me, it is a male because it looks like a number a guy would wear. The curved number 2 tells me that it is a girl's number...Does anyone know what the heck I'm talking about, or am I just a really strange person?  ;D ;D

I sure have a lot of time on my hands tonight! Lol!

It's the numbers...with the genders.

Nevermind. ::)

Not sure if this counts...but on the 90's sitcom Blossom, there was a female character named Six (the best friend of the title character). The character was apparently named Six because of the number of beers her father drank in order to get her mother pregnant. A later explanation is that she was the sixth child in her family, although none of her siblings were ever seen during the course of the series.

The well-known magpie rhyme goes:

"One for sorrow Two for joy
Three for a girl Four for a boy
Five for silver Six for gold
Seven for a secret, never to be told
Eight for a wish Nine for a kiss
Ten for a bird you must not miss."

So it's three for a girl, and four for a boy?

Along with numbers & genders, I also see colors with names. (This has to do with the name only-not the person who holds the name.) For instants to me, the name Jessica looks like an orange color. Philip I see a navy blue color. It is weird, I know.

Well done!

How do you do it, Navy Blue is my favourite colour, unless I have mentioned it before, I do not know.

Traditionally, it has been blue for boys and pink for girls.

Again, it has nothing to do with the person who holds the name. But, in this case, maybe I was picking something up from you.
