Does anybody know offhand who sang the song with lyrics that go something like this....."You tell a story like Tokyo Rose, I saw the picture from the stain on your clothes, didn't they tell 'bout the state I'm in, in this condition of carnal sin...almost sounds like a Mike and the Mechanics or The FIXX or Alan Parsons or something...can anyone please advise????

Your "mystery song" is "Tokyo Rose" by Idle Eyes. The group is Canadian, and the song was a huge hit up in their native country back in '85. However, when the single was released several months later here in the U.S. as well, it flopped completely - a shame, as it should have gone top 10 here, too, IMO. Anyway, it was off their 1985 album, simply titled Idle Eyes. Unfortunately, the album is long out-of-print, and has never been re-issued on CD here in the U.S. I have the cassette myself...

That is such a cool song. I always wondered what it was talking about.

I've never heard the song, so i don't know if it's about her or not, but you might enjoy this page about the real Tokyo Rose.
