Subject: please help me find the name of 2 songs

Written By: leslie on 06/27/02 at 04:31 p.m.

the first song is from the 80's i think.

i can only remember one line and i think it was in the chourus.

it is " let's make lots of money" i am trying to remeber any other lines or verses but my mind has drawn a blank.

the second song, you may not be able to help with at all. it is a country song and i don;t think it was ever played on the radio. i remember seeing it on CMT while i was in college in 1991

i believe the name of the song is :"keep it on the county side"

the singer was a young man. he sang about his grandfather playing his fiddle the chourus goes like this (i think) ;D ;D

"Just keep it on the country side, let the fiddle take a a nice long ride, play it with love and play it with pride, just keep it on the country side"

the majority of the video was in a barn.

thanks for any help that i can get :)

I believe the first song is "Opportunities", by The Pet Shop Boys.  It was a Top 10 hit in 1986.

The song "Keep it on the country side" was recorded by Leslie Morissett (not a great choice for a surname, eh?).

I think that you might have misheard the first one, I think that the line goes: "Its gunna take money," which would of corse be "Ive got my mind set on you" by the late great George Harrison, which was from 1987, so almost perfectly it meets your criteria.

I do believe that the country song is called "keep it on the country side" and it was by Lessilie Morrisette, that was an un-charted country hit in 1991.

And now that your a member, might I just say that I know almost everything about music, so if you have another question like this, just ask at the board and I will answer.
