Subject: Santana-Lyric Help/interpretation

Written By: LyricBoy on 11/07/02 at 09:02 p.m.

I was listening to Santana's "Supernatural" album the other day, and on it ther is this cool  8) song "Maria, Maria" sung by Wyclef Jean.

There is a background vocal/rap that I am fairly sure is in spanish.  My buddy says otherwise and insists that the background vocal is "I want a chimichanga and a cherry cola".

Any idea what the vocal is?  Is Santana really rapping about a snack, or is it really a spanish lyric and if so, what does it mean. :-/

Sing365.com says its "Ahora vengo mama chola mama chola
Ahora vengo mama chola"  which translated (freetranslation.com) means "Now I come mama chola"  I guess "mama chola" is slang or something.

Thanks Bethie Baby.

That makes alot more sense than the chimichanga and a cherry cola thing.

I'm gonna tell my buddy he heard it wrong. 8)
