Subject: Wow, Election 2000

Written By: Mike_Florio on 11/10/02 at 07:19 p.m.

I wrote so many parodies about it, even ones that I never submitted.  There was also a commersial on Tv advertising 80s songs, and I parodyed every song on the commersial with a song about the election.  I had like, "Im in a Florida voting stall" to "Im on a Mexico Radio" and to the line in "Der Kermessier" by After the Fire, that went: "Dont turn around, oh oh, Ill tell you something sound, oh oh"(I know those lyrics are incorrect)I had like, "Dont make recounts, oh oh, every vote did count, oh oh" and to "Tainted Love" by Soft cell, "Hanging Chad," but I never got around to writing these, so I was thinking about finishing them now, and submitting them now, I no they arent in the right time period, but theyll be good.  So, dont be alarmed to see an old parody from over two years ago up under new entries.

I did one, too: "Counting in Florida" to the tune of "Marching through Georgia" - I think I posted that one, but I can't remember...

fx: looks through the author's page (thanks, Chucky!) - yep, I did and it's hit the magnificent total of three votes ;-)  I guess election 2000 isn't that hot a topic any more...
