The singer sounds like Martin Fry (from the group ABC) or Tony Hadley (from Spandau Ballet).
Song Lyric Available:
"I'm not at home to heartache. Let me go, pleaaaaaaase!"
It's harmonic at the beginning and in the bridge.
The song is NOT "Sleeping Satellite" by Tasmin Archer.
The song is NOT "Heaven 17".
So....

I just searched for "not at home to heartache" at Google and got these results:

It may be the song by Perfect Alibi that you're searching for. Can't find lyrics to confirm though.
