Subject: Wait a sec...Brit is a Man by Chris Bodily TM?

Written By: Syncronos on 11/20/02 at 10:36 a.m.

OK, guys...I like to bash Breastney Speared as much as the next guy, but when Chris Bodily TM does it...it makes you wonder...hmmm...This is the same man who took on the Florios when they bashed her, and says that all people who oppose her should rot in H-E...L-L.

Something ain't right about that...Chucky, you sure he submitted that?

2 to 1 says that wasn't him...

We'll probably hear him whining about it tomorrow...

Yes, I wrote the parody. I just wanted to take on the "What if....?" of Britney being a man. When I read Billy's comment, I thought it was so funny that I had to make a song out of it. I also have a whole other post correcting the credits:

So, Chris...I gotta know. You were downright hostile with anybody who dared speak against her. Why the switch?  ???

I was being ironic and sarcastic for once. I never really meant a word I said about Britney Spears being a man. I just thought what Billy said was hilarious enough to make a song out of. Remember Dude Looks like a Lady? Steven Tyler was being sarcastic. If you had taken English, you would know that sometimes poets don't really mean what they say (e.g. Frank Sinatra "The Lady is a Tramp," "I Get Along without You"; Pink Floyd "Brick in the Wall"; etc.). I'll write a parody to once again prove that Brit will rock on for years to come (And actually credit it correctly).

If I had taken English?  ::) Oh...here we go

I'm not sure, but you seem to be conveying that I don't grasp the depth of the written word. I'll tell you that sarcasm is a very good literary device, as is satire. Once of my favorite satirists would be Kurt Vonnegut, namely, 'Harrison Bergeron,' but that's another issue entirely. Getting back to the matter of your latest 'Amiright' offering, all I was stating was that it seemed very out of character for someone as zealous for Britney Spears as yourself to post such a supposedly blasphemous parody about a person you seem to hold in such high esteem. Thank you for the clarification.

He's not? I was taught that 'Harrison Bergeron' was a political satire, only it demonstrated what would happen if the government took a turn for the worst, becoming a 'parody' of it's former self. You've read this also?

yeah, I read it in 8th grade....but I wouldnt call it a satire....I dont see whats funny about that (Granted the mom did provide a bit of comic relief)......I saw it as like a weaker version of 1984 or Brave new world or something.......not really a satire, but a politically consense (Spelling?) short story.....I mean, read Slaughter house five...thats not really a satire....Vonneguts a great author, and I love what he writes..but I wouldnt call him a satireist...Joseph Heller is more of a satirist...Catch-22 was histerical (and one of my favortie books), but also was politically angled....all great books though

kurt vonnegut is definitely a satirist ... and   believe that satires don't necessarily have to be funny just critical

It's refreshing to know that although we can all be so silly, we are all so intellectual at the same time.  ;D

Kudos to you, Florios!
