Subject: Hemorrhoid song

Written By: jeepbuilt on 11/23/02 at 00:53 a.m.

Trying to find out the name of the song and the singer, parody and original.  Female singer, maybe mid-90's.I think part of the parody had this line "will this burning ever stop" or "when will this burning stop"  Can anyone help?
Thanks.

Jeep, I think you are referring to the song done by the Bangles, "Eternal Flame".  The hook line to the chorus is "Is this burning... an Eternal Flame?"  It was quite a big hit with preteens.

For years I've been waiting for a Preparation H® or Monistat® commercial to use this song as the jingle.  It's really a natural.

Lyricboy,

That is it.  Thank you.  I did hear, once only, a parody of that song and it was about hemorrhoids.  It was well done and quite funny.  Now for the $64.00 dollar question, do you know anything about the parody?
