Subject: Don't know the song or singer to this . . .

Written By: LondonGirl (Guest) on 01/08/03 at 06:25 a.m.

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this board, so here's a big hello to all the regulars here!   ;D  I'm glad I found this place, because there's this song on my mind and I have no idea what the title is or who the singer may be.  All I know are some of the lyrics:

"Another Christmas Time without you, Another time when I'm alone . . . "

Then another lyric follows in the song that goes:

"Another Christmas Time without you, Another time when I'm alone . . . .then suddenly you're back with me."

If anyone is still drawing blanks as to what this song might be, the only thing I can add is that the singer of this song is a male and almost has a voice that sounds very much like Glenn Medeiros.  It isn't him, though.  I checked his albums, and it doesn't seem like he sang a song like this at all.  This song is also a nice slow song--it has a quality that's almost similar to George Michael's "Last Christmas" but not exactly the same.  From the way it sounds, I believe it might have been released in the mid to late 80s or early 90s.

I wish I knew more of the lyrics, but this is all I remember.  During Christmas this year and last, I always heard it on the radio--I would either catch the song at the middle or at the end--and it grew on me.  But the DJ never says who bloody sang it!!!  So, now I'm absolutely dying to find out who sang it.  I hate it when a song doesn't get out of my head and I don't know who the singer is.  It drives me friggin' mad--just a bit.   :P

If anyone has any ideas, please help!  I've had no luck anywhere else.  Cheers, and many thanks in advance!

Hey London Girl

I don't recognise the lyrics but had a thought.  Have you checked out the Christmas C D's that are in the shops?  Perhaps it on one of them.  If I remember I'll look on the ones I have at home.

Welcome to the boards btw

have you tried google.com yet? Type in Christmas albums in the search then go from there. Also, if you download songs from the internet, your server may find a song by you typing in words from the chorus.
I know what it's like to not be able to figure out songs. There are 3 that I have been looking for, for nearly 10 years. I have posted them on here and luckily people do try to help!

Hello, all!

Thanks for the suggestions.  Unfortunately, I tried both.  I went to some of the downloading sites, and haven't been as lucky.  I've typed in variations of what I think might be the title, using as much as I know from what I've heard from the lyrics.  I've had terrible luck--nothing has come up.  Thank you, Karen, in any case.  If you ever come across it, that would be great if you could let me know!

I also tried going on Google.  Actually, that's how I found this board.  No luck yet.  But thank you for that suggestion, too.  Maybe I'll keep on trying.

I could sing part of the song that I know, but you wouldn't be able to hear me anyways, so that is of no particular help.  :P

I completely agree, though--I hate having a song attached in my head like this.  Alndave, it's terrible to be out of the blue for 10 years on any song that you like.  Bloody hell.   :o  Hopefully, your searches will prove more fruitful as well, as I hope mine will!

But thanks to you both for your help.  If anyone else has any clues to offer, I'd be very much thankful!

Cheers all,

London Girl

Mind if a new guy gives it a shot?

I combined "Christmas Time" into one word and did a search and found a Crystal Gayle DVD released in 2001 that contains a song called "Another Christmastime Without You" done by Michael Damian. Remembering Damian's "Was It Nothing at All?" from late 1989/early 1990, I thought he could pass for Glenn Medeiros on a good day.

I hope that helps!

NewRomantic and Billy_Florio . . .  you're absolutely fantastic!!!   ;D  Many thanks for giving me those tips.  I faintly remember Michael Damian's "Rock On" from a while ago, but never remembered his voice very well.  It's just perfect to finally find a lead.  Wicked, actually.   :D  If I sound overly overjoyed, it's because I'm a nut over this bloody song!  LOL.  But once again . . . many thanks to you.   :)  This board has been a big help, and I'm definitely glad to have found it.

Cheers!
