Subject: Every Toe Has It's Corn -- my first .wav file!

Written By: jbuchoff on 01/15/03 at 12:23 a.m.

Oh, it got ugly, but here's my first attempt at recording one of my own songs!  Hope you like it, or I at least hope it makes you laugh (even if it's just because of my voice!).

And if you have time, let me know what you think.

(I bet Phil could sing it better  ;D )

Thanks!  That's the best feedback I've ever gotten from a chocolate lab  :)  I'm working on putting some of the others together (and working on smoothing out this one).

Naah, sounds better than my pissed Elvis impression (the 'Are you drinking tonight' parody) :-)  I tried last night my Boyzone/Poison parody, but I always seem to end up sounding like a strangled cat somewhere in the middle... Might have to, er, lower the tone a bit ;-)

Phil
PS Grumpybear - have you voted for Jeff's parody - it's here: http://www.amiright.com/parody/80s/poison0.shtml

Thanks guys!  I have to work on getting the "skips" out (the software I have records 1 minute at a time from a tape so I had to patch them together).  I'll be working on some of my other songs too.

hey i'm listening to it right now. Took a hell of a long time to load but it was worth the wait cuz it was darn hilarious! (because of the lyrics, not you're voice. You're actually a pretty good singer  :D)  Good job man.  ;D

ha ahaha ha ha ha, very very funny!  It must be annoying though to patch it together...

and has anyone ever told you that you sound a lot like Jimmy Buffett?  Thats a complement by the way...

I thought it was great.  But if you realy want to make me laugh, do a recording of "We're Lost".  :)

And here I expected to get comments on my voice like Simon from Americal Idol!

I have the background music for We're lost, I've Got To Pee Now, Can't Keep This Diet, among others, so one of those will probably be next.

Looking forward to it!   Curious about the originals, I've never tried that.

I'll be posting more of my own as well.

your right, bad voice, lol.  i did a few mp3s of mine.  mine are up on kazaa and winmx though and a few on my website.  it was good though, ever thought about burning it on CD and have more people listen to it?

Burning a CD and having more people listen to it:  have you done that?  How did you distribute the CD?  (Just to friends, or send it to whoever would listen?)

Thought about it seriously actually.  I'd like to get a few more songs recorded (like STG is planning, and I think one of the Florio's), so I have an actual "album."  Although I'm limited at this point to songs where I have the background karaoke CD (and that I'm not as familiar with Kazaa/winmx as I should be, so I haven't tried recording directly on my PC yet).  With the karaoke CDs, I also end up battling with the background singing if it's too loud for CD+Gs that don't completely take the lyrics out.

I have burned a CD though, so that I can listen to it in the car and try to figure out how to make it better, match the pacing, hurt dogs ears, etc.

both Florios are trying to record CD's......Ive recorded two songs on a cassette tape: "Episode 2(See Yoda fight) and "The Answer's in bombing Iraq"...its just me singing (horribly), and playing guitar (horribly) and harmonica (excellently) I have them on a cassette tape, and theyre not good quality, and I mess up the chords a couple of times...Ive got to re-record, but I want to do it with my friends band (if they would help out)..theyres also a third song on the tape...its me doing Led Zeppelin's "Black dog" as a joke (actully it was just an excuse for yelling "hey hey mama like the way you move, gunna make you sweat gunna make you groove!") ..and in the typical Billy Florio fashion, it sounds horrible.....
