Written By: Is this Lyric Correct? on 01/25/03 at 01:29 p.m.

Can someone help me with this lyric?
I can't find the song, but it's a slow song sung by a female and some of it is....as I lay my hean down, then I pray....for u to be near.

Sounds like a song by Sophie B. Hawkins.  The title eludes me though.

Don't know if it's the song you're looking for, but it could be " As I lay me Down " Sophie B Hawkins

" As I lay me, down to sleep, as I pray..that you will hold me near, thought I'm far away I whisper you're name into the sky, and I will wake up happy."

There's also a background vocal that goes with it.  As I recall there are several female angelic-type voices singing "Full out Taco" in the background.  Never understood why but then I am not a professional musician.

Not to be critical with grammar or anything, but it's supposed to be "I whisper your name into the sky..."
You're means "you are".
