Subject: Vote count question

Just wondering how many votes you need to qualify for a top ten list, because my parody "Small Shack With Some Rice (The Joe Millionaire Song)" is doing pretty darn good and I wanted to know if it had enough votes for a list.  Speaking of which, go on over and take a look at it, I think it perfectly conveys how much of a moron Evan is, and how pathetic a show like that is.  It's bound to give you a chuckle.  Cheers!

I'm pretty sure it changes all along with a Bayesian Estimate, or something like that... taking into account vote totals, vote average, and total vote numbers.

jared - i think you'll have the number 1 overall song weekly when the next voting results come around especially with your song up for review  as the good song by prospective judges. congrats on probably doing something that i still havent managed in almost 140 tries.

well.. I just checked, and you're at number 2 today.. it varies every day.. basically, the number of votes and the scores of them combined.. it's set up so that a song with a single all  5 vote doesn't weigh heavier than a song with 20 votes averaging a 4.2 score. Generally, to make the weekly top ten, you need at least 15 to 20 votes. It tends to be less on weekends, because there's less traffic than during the week

you should probably see some extra votes in the next few days, because I picked your parody for the amIright Idle contest, as a test for the judges to write reviews for.. if you read the message thread about judging, you'll get to see what the judges think of your parody so far..

incase anyone is wondering why his parody got picked for the judges to review, it's because I was looking for three parodies by new authors, who had checked the comment box last Friday. Luck of the draw I guess.. and it didn't hurt that there were already a lot of comments attached to it.
