Subject: born to be alive?

the first sentence of the first verse of partick hernandez's song sounds like "time was on my side when i was running down the street, 'it was no bind, bind, bind'".
"it was no bind, bind, bind" doesn't make sense. is this the proper lyric? ???

Yep!  That's right.  Here's the lyrics:

Born To Be Alive
Patrick Hernandez
Music & Lyrics : Patrick Hernandez

We were born to be alive
We were born to be alive
Born born to be alive
Born born to be alive
Born born to be alive
Yes we were born born born
Born born to be alive

Time was on my side
When i was running down the street
It was no bind bind bind
A suitcase and an old guitar
It's all i need to occupy
A mind like mine

Yes we were born born
Born to be alive
Born to be alive
Yes we were born born
Born to be alive

People ask me why
I never find a place to stop
And settle down down down
I never wanted all those things
People need to justify
Their life life life

Yes we were born born
Born to be alive
Born to be alive
Yes we were born born
Born to be alive

Its good to be alive X3
Its good to be alive X3
Its good to be alive

Just sitting here and reading it, i understand it to be... it was no bind bind bind... with bind describing it, which of course refers to "time" mentioned earlier. So, a person who isn't bound by time is expressing joy.

Wish I wasn't bound by time... damn college.
