A couple of things, Mike:

As far as breakout artists go, except for Watt and I, and Mike Armstrong, you've listed people who have submitted a bajillion parodies to this site over a veeeeeery long period of time.  In fact, I'd bet that Mike Armstrong (Mike and Jordan) are the only ones who have recently started submitting.  I'm pretty sure RC&WD and Syncronos submitted as early as 2000.  Think you might need to rethink these nominees?  I am flattered though that we're good enough to be considered "breakthroughs" :)

For the food parodies: didn't Kenny also do a G&R parody about McDonald's?

The food catorgory is only from Aug 2002 to jan 2003...Kennys welcome to mcdonalds doesnt fall in that range.....
anyway....for the breakthrough artists....the number of parodies that one has only helps....Its for the time period of AUg 2002 to Jan 2003..in that period, those 6 artists more or less brokethrough into popularity on the amiright circuit (I know that you had one earlier, but who really knew who you were before the aug to Jan period)...youve got to look at it in that sense......Syncronos, if im not mistaken, started submitting in Aug 2002 ( cause I remember a big deal was made over why syncronos didnt win anything, and then people actully realized that they voted on those catorgories before syncronos even showed up...anyway, does that answer youre question?

actually rice, mike armstrong has been around longer than i have, but i think most of their good songs have been starting in august. Ghetto john started posting over a year ago and i think had a couple of hits on the site early on but most of his stuff was starting in august.   I remember when jeremy otto and syncronos started and they are legitimate candidates. I think chris bodily tm has been around for a long time too and i dont believe he's ever had a hit parody. I think the rice and watt duo had their real breakout after january but i could be wrong about that. Anyway, i started posting at the end of last june and didnt have any big songs until august.

My  personal choices for breakout artists are:

me, royce miller, syncronos,  jeremy otto, mike armstrong,  and i'm not sure about the 6th

I think you forgot a good one - I would have to look it up but there was a Saddam parody to "Cocaine" - I think it was called "Hussein" - this is certainly deserved of a nomination.  (Besides, I think it was a woman who wrote this and you seem to lack female representation).
Just a thought.

Tone-def, the only reason that you are not nominated here is because you were in the last awards show too.....
Now Royce, I honestly dont remember when she started, but if she was eligable for this, then that was a MAJOR oversight..damn....

Hey Billy, I started writing on Amiright in June of 2002--not quite a year yet since I've been on, but don't fret any about people you nominate--I mean at least not about me, because I'm not taking any offense, and I do it for fun which means I try not to get uptight about it---you can't please all the people all the time.  So just have fun.

OK Ok...it looks like I missed out on a LOT! What's going on? What is this voting thing, and how do we know who wins!?  ???

Tone-Def, I do appreciate your mentioning my name, as a possible break-out nominee.  Thanks.

billy, by the last awards do you mean last weeks awards or junior's awards in august. Because i didnt get any nominations there i think those awards started when i had been here for no more than a week or two. But its your awards and its been up a couple of days so i guess you shouldnt change things now

i submitted over 50 parodies in my first 6 or 7 weeks on the site maybe thats where the confusion came from. syncronos did that too i think thats probably why rice cube thought he had been around forever

Syncronos, you send your "votes" in via e-mail to Amirightawards@yahoo.com.  So just the song or person you feel should win each category and send them into that website, and the Florio's will announce all the winners at a point in the future, I'm assuming.  I'm pretty sure they're waiting for all of the categories to be voted upon, and then they'll announce the winners.

Lol, I always wonder that, but now realize that some artists are more....how to put this....looked at than others. I doubt anyone here knows I exist and write parodies.

I do know you exist wdh, (as well as Rob Zombie, who missed out on many catorgories for the best breakthrough artist award because we felt he really hit after Jan..wait til next awards, Im sure youll be there)

but wdh, youve been around for quite a long time...I think I remember your first parody in like early/mid 2001 or something (sorry if Im wrong)
