Subject: The Merry and Pippin gender guessing thread

Written By: Tone-Def on 05/08/03 at 08:23 a.m.

I still think that merry is female and pippin is male... what is everyone elses opinion of the identities of the ambiguously gendered parody duo?

I think they're both hobbits, and the gender of hobbits is best not speculated upon...

Both girls, although I have not put the time and effort into the investigation that Billy has.

I know, but I can't say!  Employees of Merry & Pippin inc are not allowed to participate in the contest!

(Interesting double entendre, Billy)  ;)

hmmm...heres my anylazation...

Merry talks like a girl(no offence if your not), and evidence of this is, for example, calling Malcolm higgins, Malkie...Ive only known girls for adding the "ie" at the end of names, after all, most of my female friends call me Mike or Michael, but if theyre like, I dont know, trying to hit on me, they may say Mikey(of course not saying you were trying to hit on Malcolm)...and most of my male friends call me Florio or Florious...there are few exceptions, like my friend Scott calls me Mike and my friend Stephanie calls me Florio...but never once has a male person called me Mikey, unless confusing me for my cusin...

now, Pippen, Pippen doesnt talk like a girl, leading me to think that its a he...and Merry sounds like a female name(again, no offence if it isnt), and Pippen sounds more masculant...and I once knew someone named Pippen as their first name...but I dont think taht has significents...anyway...I say Merry is female, and Pippen is male...

Im assuming maybe theyre related, like husband and wife or boyfriend and girlfriend, or even Feonces(or how ever the hell you spell it)...and I know that boyfriend girlfriend arent related at all...just saying

but in the end it comes down to this

Who cares?  They write good parodies...When we all thought Royce was male, it didnt affect her parody writing, now did it?  She still had good songs...

by the way, Id like to get a girl's opinion on this....that could help a lot...

Ah! But I was quoting his parody: "Malkie Stop" (he called himself that... OMG - Malcolm is really a girl! :o :o ;D )

But thank you for the thumbs-up on our parody writing anyway, we appreciate it, Mikey... ;)

Through an interesting process of reverse psychology, and many millions of datums passing through my brain, I have come to the conclusion that the gender of Merry and Pippin is....

Inconclusive?! Stupid computer. Why did I waste my last five thousands bucks on you?
