The only thing I can think of is "I'm just a gigolo" by David Lee Roth but I am probably wrong.

Classic funk, actually, but sampled by today's hip-hop acts nevertheless. You're thinking of "The Gigolo" by O'Bryan, a moderate hit here in the U.S. in the Spring of '82. It was off his 1982 album, Doin' Alright. Unfortunately, the album is long out-of-print, and has never been re-issued on CD here in the U.S...
BTW, the chorus goes:
