Subject: Your Greatest Hits album

Written By: wdh on 08/01/03 at 01:58 p.m.

If you were to make a greatest hits album of your
parodies, and could only have 10 songs on it, what
would they be? Try to make it your favorites, not
other peoples, even though I guess a "hit" would be
something others liked. Here's mine:
(in no particular order)

1. Dairy Queen(parody of Dancing Queen by ABBA)
-My highest chart rating, I got number 8 in Overall
that week.

2. Mullet Hair(parody of Neil Sedaka's Solitaire)
-Only got 3 votes, but they were all 5s. I really
liked the idea and was proud to come up with the
concept.

3.Scenes from a Greasy Burger Joint(parody of Scenes
from an Italian Restaurant by Billy Joel)
-Took forever to write, and I really was happy with
it, a 7-minute song is just an accomplishment in of
itself.

4. What is Clay? (Parody of Wednesday by Tori Amos)
-Nothing against Clay, but it was just so fun to make
fun of him

5. Burger Man(parody of Piano Man by B. Joel)
-The start of the album, and I started with a Bang.
'Nuff said.

6. My Baby's in Love with the Teletubbies(parody of
Weird Al's My Baby's in Love with Eddie Vedder)
-I watched about 10  hours of Teletubbies to do
research for this, so I am just glad it turned out
good. Got number 10 overall in the weekly chart that
week.

7.Pika-Pi,Pika-Chu!(parody of Knowing me, Knowing you
by ABBA)
-Pokemon Bashing always turns out well, I liked this.

8. Drive-Thru's in my Car(parody of B. Joel's Just the
Way you Are)
-I just liked the sort of "panel-by-panel" making of a
Drive- Thru I did in this. Also, it got 7 comments, a
perosnal best!

9. Tribute to the saddened students- (Teach Another Day)--a parody of Madonna's Die Another Day
- Basically, the idea of a James Bond song being transformed to relate to a teacher such as myself struck a chrod with me.

10. They'd Recount Thousands of Votes(parody of I would Walk 500 miles by the Proclaimers)
- I got this idea from a dream. Weird huh? Since it's my only dream parody, it makes the list. Plus I think it's pretty funny.

In no order:

1. You Are The Weakest Link
2. Burger On The Bun
3. Foodylicious (with Mamoo)
4. Pikachu
5. Road Trip (with DarkJon and S.T.G)
6. Don't Pay (The Shoplifter Song)
7. Where's My Asian Friend
8. Your Feet
9. Crank Yankers (with Ghetto John)
10. amIright

I wouldn't have included Road Trip and Crank Yankers since I worked with other people on them (I did work with my little brother on Foodylicious, but he doesnt count  ;)), but some of my other parodies are so bad. So thanks DarkJon, S.T.G, and Ghetto John, as well as Lebeiw, Rock Princess, wdh, and others I've worked with. :D

hmmm...Ive thought about doing this but never got around to it (and if you look at my website, Ive got an empty link to a section called "my greatest hits" lol)

1)Pork the other white meat (to the tune of Def Leppards "Pour some sugar on me"): Actully, I hated this song..I thought it was one of the most nonsensical parodies I had ever written..I thought I was gonna be laughed off the website when I submitted it and instantly wanted to take back my pressing ther submit button...well, there was a lot of laughing, but it was because people liked it! lol..I couldnt beleive it....the song hit the charts and stayed at #1 for a long time...and then the monthly...thats why its here

2)Everyday a__holes (Sly and the family stopnes "Everyday people"): just my favrotie

3)W____ on the corner (parody to CCR's "Down on the corner") :my first hit

4)That dont impress the dutch( to Shania twains "That dont impress me much")

5)I beleive shes 18 (R Kellys rationalization)-with Keith kamer

6)A barry bonds parody (To Santana and Rob Thomas's Smooth)

7)Episode 2 (See Yoda fight)-TO the tune of Green days "Time of your life": the winner of the second round in Darkjons parody contest

8)I really cant dance-To loggins and Messina's "Your mama dont dance" : just one of my all time favorites

9)Ive got a broken down car_to Eric Claptons "Ive got a rock and roll heart"

10)Williams TOngs story (to Green days Minority)..: ok, this beat "Trying to fit in my jeans", "put down the seat", "The answers in bombing Iraq", "Senioritis", "porno magazines", "Santa is watching me", "peeing in a bottle", "the Pi songs" and all my other favorites only because of one reason....It went to #1...Now, I dont anymore hold any anger towards Tong, or anyone else, but at the time I was jumping on the diss Tong bandwagon....I think its a really good parody even though it is unapropiate...

ok, there you go

1.  Drops of Mountain Dew
2.  Every Piece of Cake (I liked this one, I didn't think it was that great but even Billy Florio posted a new message on the messageboard the day it appeared on the site just to tell me how great it was ;D)
3.  The Game of Golf
4.  Mow the Lawn
5.  Get the Heck Off the Road
6.  I Lost My Mother's Car Keys
7.  Overplayed Pop Stars Song (Britney, Nelly, Christi, Kelly)

9.  The Cereal Song (For some reason I like this one a lot too)
10.  Thanksgiving Dinner Song (I wrote it the day I got out for Thanksgiving break)

Well, I actually didn't think hard about it, but those are some favorites I would definitely put on a greatest hits CD... and if I get a deal with Columbia Records, I will soon be realeasing The Essential lebeiW15...

I've thought of this before, but never really got around to compiling a list - no certain order here, just kinda trying to mix up the parodies chronologically as best I can - Jordan's opinion is probably different than mine, but here's what i'd pick :

1) "Scott's Song" - (Elton John's "Your Song")

2) "Absolutely (The Story of a Bastard Who Continuously Gives Us 1,1,1's For No Reason)" - (Nine Days' "Absolutely (The Story of a Girl)")

3) "Boys of Summer (Baseball Strike)" - (Don Henley's "Boys of Summer")

4) "Like My Stocks" - (Bob Seger's "Like a Rock" )

5) "You May Be White" - (Billy Joel's "You May Be Right")

6) "99 Great Cartoons" - (Nena's "99 Red Balloons")

7) "Goodbye RMK (Bobby Knight Salute)" - (Elton John's "Candle in the Wind")

8) "Mailman Malone" - (David Ball's "Private Malone")

9) "Crap! (Ode to the Garage Sale)" - (REM's "Stand")

10) "Welcome to McDonald's" - (Guns 'n Roses "Welcome to the Jungle")

**Note** - Because it would be a greatest HITS album, these were the songs selected - if it were my personal favorites, I'd have to include "Leb'non", "Kokomo", and some others.
