Subject: How bout a parody concert?

Written By: S.T.G. on 08/11/03 at 10:55 p.m.

I have nothing better to do, so what about a parody concert.

Like Howdypawhatta?
    or  Blobfest
      or   Summer Aquarium

PM me- if anyone would like to spend some of their worthless time making a concert spoof.

Are we talking mp3s or read-through?

Subject: Re: How bout a parody concert?

if we're doing mp3's i need to know what program is good for turning cd tracks (created from WMA's)into mp3's. i could also use that information no matter what

Subject: Re: How bout a parody concert?

Written By: Billy_Florio on 08/12/03 at 09:49 a.m.

I think its just pretend to perform lol..so I doubt you need MP3s....

Subject: Re: How bout a parody concert?

Written By: S.T.G. on 08/12/03 at 09:52 a.m.

pretend to perform
it's just something for me to do

and the theme is anything goes
it's kind of a mockery of Ozzfest
(as if you didn't know)

so come one, come all, and destroy the music of today

(mocking MTV News)

This is Kurt Borer with a PAIR-O-D NEWS update of the upcoming concert SLOBZFEST, so far the mainstage is being filled up with artists of extreme talent. The concert's headliner, S.T.G., has recruited "familiar" faces of AmIRight.
Such as brothers, both Mike and Billy Florio (different sets)
Jeff Reuben, and the hip-spoofer, Tone-Def. This is a one-of-a-kind concert. That is all.

Second Stage:
1:
2:
3:
4:
5:
6:
7:
8: (Headliner)

Mainstage:
1:
2:Tone-Def
3:Mike Florio
4:Jeff Reuben

PS- send your ten songs if you are already on it.

Official Press Release:

Billy Florio has been criticized about his set selections in past concerts...usually choosing to play songs that are his favorites rather than the crowd pleasers.....He will be appearing in the upcoming Slobzfest 2003, that was started by STG in the fashion of Janes Addiction's "lolapaluza" and Ozzy's "Ozzfest".  One wonders what he will be selecting for this upcoming event.  "I'm doing a set that will probably make some casual fans mad, some mediocer fans happy, and the real fans OVERJOYED.  If you expect to hear just the hits, then this isnt the right concert for you." Billy of course then went on to say that he will play a handful of his popular stuff, but to "Not count on the set being ruled by hit after hit after hit." ... We asked Billy to give us an idea of what was going to be played.  He refused to tell us specific songs, but he did give us some hints: "I won't play any political stuff, or anything that is AmIRight exclusive.  Don't expect to hear much early stuff either.  Remember, I'm trying to promote my new album. "  He did assure us though that everyone will have a good time whether they want to or not.  Slobzfest will take place near the end of August, and Billy's new album will be out never.

Sway Dizzle's news break- Yo what up world, this is Sway Dizzle trying to keep you informed on the latest comming from the allstar concert, SLOBZFEST. POPCRAP Records star BLO-TOWN will be performing at the concert, his first solo concert in almost 2 days. When asked about how his absence form performing may affect his set BLO-TOWN reclined comment. His personal b**ch,err, secretary noted that his former writing partner Consti who co-stared in the movies "A Crosswalk to Remember", "Giggli"and "Jrump" would not be performing with him. He also noted that pyro would be kept on the down low for his performance. BLO-TOWN has not used any pyro since the sparkler incident almost burned half of his fro off earlier in the year at a "BLO's Malt Liquor" commercial taping. Stay cool world. This is Sway dizzle signing out. (You hear it first, or right after we do I guess because we have to hear it for you to hear it so I guess we're actually lying. Whatever)

This is Giddy Iago with the parroty... er... parody news. There are many many many exciting performers scheduled to perform at slobzfest but i think the one that is going to steal the show is the artist formerly known as... oh wait i believe he still goes by that name... um yeah anyway its tone-def. He declined to tell me exactly what songs he is planning to perform but he says that he will try to get through a few rap songs without slurring too badly as well as some  parodies of recent pop songs and a couple of parodies of older songs for the older people attending slobzfest. That's all for now, now we'll show you that awful J.Lo video from that horrible movie for the tenth time today.

Now this is Kurt Borer from PAIR-O-D News. Update from S.T.G.'s SLOBZFEST.
Many famous names have joined this hilarious concert such as hip-hop's own,
BLO-TOWN (for second stage) and Tone-Def(on mainstage)
And Jared Lerner and Jared have both joined the second stage filling the concert with their humor.
Ghetto John has been reported to have signed on for second stage to give the tour what it needs to survive.
And Headliner for Second Stage is Junior, who wants a part of it too.

"I believe this concert will be the best in our history and time"- says Headliner S.T.G. who will also share the main stage with famous name such as, Billy and Mike Florio, Jeff Reuben, and Tone-Def. There is a slot for the opener on main stage, and 3 more slots left for the second stage.

"I want the opener to be some one I've at least done a duet with and has had a numerous amount of hits"- says S.T.G. in a meeting. Hopefully, some one will join in.

Ghetto John has stated that he will perform an electrifying set. Full of dancing midgets, and local homies saying" WHAT WHAT?" He is supposed to perform 10 songs that will be full of energy and laughter. He reports that he wants to perform the songs that will get the crowd goin. He wants to provide the adrenaline of rock and the laughter of his parodies. There Is a slight chance of Ghetto John and S.T.G. coming up and performing Pozin'. He is also expected to perform his heartwarming tribute to Monaco Chris. Here is his preliminary set as of now......

1: Pozin' (Possibly with S.T.G.) ~to Limp Bizkits "Rollin'"
2: Date " ~To Limp Bizkits " Faith"
3: Mary Jane ~ to Stainds " Zoe Jayne "
4: Meat Ball Fight ~To Jimmy Fallons " Snow Ball Fight "
5: Fish Out Of The Pond~To Linkin Parks " Somewhere I Belong"
6: Boys And Girls~To Good Charlottes " Girls and Boys"
7: My Mess Tonight~To Creeds~ " My Sacrifice "
8: Monaco Chris Tribute: Our Hearts Have Been Shattered~To Metallicas " Nothing Else Matters"
9: Swimming~To Linkin Park's " Crawling "
10: My Brother Is Gay To U2's "Beautiful Day"

Ghetto John is currently in the studio working on some new recordings which are said to be some of his best yet. So we apparently have much to look forward to in the next year. But for now we can expect a great show. Ghetto John is also getting ready for the 2nd Amiright Awards, where hes hoping to land a few nominations, and go home with a few victories.

I wouldn't mind doing a parody concert. But my question is:

How exactly would we do this fake concert??

Also, which parodies of mine are good enough for the concert? I think:

My Motorhead parodies
Saddam parodies
George W. Bush
Having to pee
Chris Walken parody
Erik Braunn
My classic rock parodies
The Pong Song (One of my most successful parodies to date!)
And maybe a couple of newer parodies

Actually, I'm a tad too busy right now....and I'm sure the demand for me is in the negative side, so maybe I outta leave it to the artists who have fans

Mike Amrstrong and PF4Eva have been drafted, and if wdh wants to he can join.
