Subject: suggestions for #250

Written By: Ethan Mawyer on 08/30/03 at 01:41 p.m.

right now my parody count is #249 so obviously the next one is 250. I want to make this one big especially because classes start in a few days and i probably won't be abl to write much when that happens. So i'd like to know what song i should make a parody of in order to get a lot of votes. I want it to be a new song (even though vits really hard to get votes with those nowadays and i already have about 12 parodies of curent top 100 billboard songs) any suggestions?

i think i've decided on something... but it'll take a while. I think i'm going to go for the record for most pop stars made fun of in a song

I got a song on a tape the other day, and I think itīs a new one cos Iīve heard parts of it on radio too, unfortunately I donīt know whoīs singing it, but itīs a woman. And itīs a slow ballad. Parts from the top of my head:

"Cos a woman, knows a real man, when she sees one..."

"Baby you know youīre worthy..."

Ehhh... *gets a blackout and hasnīt tape available*

Anyway, itīs about how a man should treat his woman and buy her jewlery and stuff.

And I was thinking to myself when I heard it that the first line mentioned above could be...

"AmIWriters, know a real song, when they hear one"

Iīm not gonna do this song myself. I like the idea, but I just spent almost too many hours on another song about songs, "Write Parodies" for the Survivor contest, and want to work on other subjects for a while.

But as for a #250 or something like that... Well, letīs just say that IMHO it sounds like a suitable subject.

Cheers!

That's "a woman's worth" by alicia keyes. I think it was anamerican top ten hit about a year ago. Thanks for the suggestion, but i'm going to do a parody of a current top 10 hit

Why not go for an old showtune instead - say "Cabaret" or "America" (from West Side Story) would both make pretty straightforward "Amiright"-type parodies

I'm actually just going to do whatever i can finish first. my 150th song was nothing special in my opinion  when i wrote it but now it has a 4.5 at 33 votes (posibly the best rating i have)maybe i'll have the same luck with 250
