Subject: Need help desperately

There is a song in the 80's somewhere that has the approx. chorus of the following.  Anybody recognize it?????

Shangri la, Shangri la
Tell me where your heroes are
Tell me, where have they gone?
In the darkest of dreams
is a land without (seams?)
Girl, you know I'd die for your love

I have a few more lines, but nothing seems to come up on a search.  I'd REALLY REALLY REALLY love to have a clue who the singer is.

There was a song called "This is Shang Ri La" that was partly used as a theme song for MTVīs Headbangers Ball in the 80s.

I donīt remember what band it was.

Googling for it doesnīt help either.

Maybe that clue will take you a little closer though.

The song is actually just called Shangri-La.  It's by Roman Gray (or Grey).  They were Canadian I do believe.  The album was called Edge of a Shadow.  I have the tape and have searched high and low for the CD (found vinyl) and cannot find it!!  I loved the entire album.

I can't believe someone else is looking for it!!  None of my friends know what I'm talking about!!

Just remembered..the song that they sang that had more radio play here was I B U.
