Subject: tribute lyric

Written By: jlc on 11/07/03 at 07:48 p.m.

In 2002, an album by Jason Mraz called "Waiting for my Rocket to Come" included a song called 'On Love, In Sadness'.  (Listen to it here.  http://www.jasonmraz.com/MP3/OnLoveInSadness.mp3  )  In the chorus, the line "not falsified to say that I found God".

In the 80's (maybe early 90's) there was song with a very similar hook the the "I found God" line.  My wife thinks the lyric in the tune in question may have been "I found love".  Regardless, it's the same kind of stocatto annuncuation.

Anybody care to give this tune a listen and hazard a guess who this lyric was inspired by/is a tribute to/was stolen from????
