Subject: This is driving me nuts...

Written By: Just wondering on 12/12/03 at 01:08 p.m.

I was at a bar last night where the music that was playing was off of a satellite channel (Foreigner, Aerosmith).

Any-hoo, the only song that I didn't recognize was one that blew me away.

The only lyrics that I can remember (it was a bar, after all) was something like "I want to be in your eyes..."

The music reminded me of 70's Bowie and the singer was a male (but NOT Bowie, I'm sure of this).

That's it!  That's all I have.  I asked our server to check it out for me but she had no luck!  Can anyone help me out?

It might be "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel. I hope that helps. :)

Is it Loverboy-"Heaven In Your Eyes"?
The chorus goes like this:
In your eyes
I want to see your love again
In your eyes
I never want this feeling to end
It took some time to find the light
But now I realize
I can see the heaven in your eyes ???

:-[ Nope, that's not it either, Lanie.

I was hoping that someone would think back to any bands or artists who sound like David Bowie's stuff from the 70's.  My hubby also said that he thought the voice sounded a bit like Ringo Starr - I didn't hear that but maybe it'll trigger someone's memory?
