Subject: Elmer Fudd singing

Written By: jeanie on 12/15/03 at 12:12 a.m.

I am trying to find the lyrics to a cartoon song that Elmer Fudd sang that starts as  "Ridin in my car, got my radio on" It might be a song that Robin Williams did as a parody of Elmer Fudd.  Can anyone help?

HI,
I believe that song is 'Fire" most ikely by the Pointer Sisters...maybe Springsteen too!
Now look up songlyrics and they will have the words.
Good Luck,
JD

It is indeed Robin Williams, the song is "Fire" by Bruce Springsteen (but also performed by the Pointer Sisters). It shows up on the Dr. Demento playlists from time to time. I've heard it, but I don't have a copy (I'm sure it's on the P2P trading networks though).

lyrics can be found here:

Is this the same song on which Elmer Fudd starts wapping--  :D (sorry, I couldn't resist)-- I mean, rapping? I heard a Dr. Demento compilation that had Elmer Fudd rapping on it. It begins with him singing "Kill the wabbit! Kill the wabbit!" then he busts into some gangsta rap! It's weird. ::)
