Subject: Why did Lionel Richie need a doctor?

In the song "stuck on you", after the verse where he sings "I packed up my troubles and I've thrown them all away" he proceeds to say "this time I need a doctor, I'm coming home to stay"  Is he talking about hospice care or something?

This was a song about being a siamese twin ("conjoined twin").  He needed a doctor so that they could get separated surgically.

I thought he said "...this time I need ya darlin', I'm comin' home to stay..." and I thought it was a "love" song.

I believe he says, "'Cause this time, Little Darling, I'm coming home to stay".

By the way, this in NO way classifies me as a Lionel Richie fan!!! ;D
