Subject: Who cut "R.A.M.B.O."?

Written By: Debbie on 02/06/04 at 11:28 a.m.

I was seeing, for a few weeks, a friend who'd gone to Seattle in '87, on an exchange high school year. I remember seeing some of the local bands, Mudhoney among them, and I also recall hearing a groovy disco single with lyrics that tied together Ronald Reagan (who had been a movie actor, y'know) and the great Rambo. Some of the lines went like this:

The word is from the White House
that Ronnie thinks he's fine.
The reason's very simple;
his acting's worse than mine!
R.A.M.B.O.
What's that spell, what's that spell?
Rambo!

Great single. Anyone here who could tell me the name of the band?
