I know the song in question is actually titled"Never Been Any Reason" I don't know the story behind it,but the song is way cool,my fave classic rock station plays it once in a while.

:)  THANKS!  My boyfriend said he heard that the song was about a friend of the band's that had drowned in Carlyle Lake in Illinois, which is where we are from.  So I am trying to find out if there is a meaning for the phrase "going down for the last time" that is in the song lyrics.  But what doesn't make sense, is that the rest of the lyrics do not mention anything about water, a guy or anything of the like...it only talks about a female!
