Subject: Eddie Cochran wanted what for a candy bar????
I think I was the only one who had this creative mishearing of the mega-corny John D. Loudermilk-penned Eddie Cochran recording of "Drive-In Show". There's a line in there that sounded like "pet my penis for a candy bar". I mean, the boy sang the line, "Make me rock right outta my pants!" in "Cotton Picker" so maybe he crossed the line and it slipped past the folks at Liberty Records? Not to mention he was probably jailbait at the time he sang the "candy bar" line...I think.
Heh. After some puzzling I found out it was "bet my peanuts" and not the other. Old Eddie was probably laughin' in his grave at that.
