Subject: A Comedy Type Song

Written By: Dragon on 6/22/2000 at 4:04 p.m.

Not having much luck with the Dr. Demento show (it used to be on his late night comedy hour in the 80's) answering this one, so I through I would give it a post.

It is a comedy song done by what sounds to be an all male British group (perhaps it is from "The Young Ones" comedy series, I don't know).

Anyway the song was called Stammer Rap or Studder Rap and the lyrics went something like:

"No one's ever seen what I mean from the age of ni-ni-ni thirteen. We've all been caught in a ma ma ma mouth trap so join with us in the st st st stammer rap"

My favorite line is "Something must be wrong with your vocal technique when the 12 inch mix goes on for a week."

Later in the song they would shout "No need for bedtime! No need for shouting!"

Thanks!
