Subject: Mispronounced Lyrics
Have you ever noticed that some artists mispronounce their lyrics? Tiffany,in "Radio Romance",pronounces "admiration" as "admirition". In Tom Petty's "Refugee",Tom pronounces the word correctly,but his background singers say "refujay". Then Tom turns around in "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" and says,"I know you really wanna tell me goodbah"! (Was he feeling sheepish that day?) And NOBODY could decipher The Clash's "Rock The Casbah" without a lyric sheet! Oh,well...I guess if there were no mispronounced lyrics,there'd be no misheard lyrics!
