Subject: Dumb lyrics

Written By: Leslie on 7/2/2001 at 1:02 p.m.

I came across the dumb lyrics page and found some misinterpreted lyrics, that were called "dumb." One is from American High Five - Flavor of the Week about not understanding why Nintendo is in the song. The comment is made that he's too stoned. Hence, he's a stoner. Stoners are usually heavy gamers, thats why Nintendo is mentioned.

The other was Nobody wants to be lonely by Christina Aguilera and Ricky Martin about not understanding why a broken arrow is mentioned in the song. I believe that this an allusion to Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem, "The Arrow and the Song." If you read the poem, then the line makes sense.
