Subject: British Or American?

Written By: Doc on 9/7/2001 at 9:38 p.m.

The Who, a British group, released a song called "I Can See For Miles". See anything wrong with that? The British don't measure distance in miles; they use the metric system. So the song should have been called "I Can See For Kilometers". A similar thing comes up in the Spice Girls' song "Stop". The line, "You take an inch, I run a mile" should have been, "You take a centimeter, I run a kilometer". (But then, "kilometer" doesn't rhyme with "smile"...)
