Subject: "Drive" by THE CARS

Written By: Wayne Shepherd on 11/17/2001 at 2:38 p.m.

Hello -- This "mystery" has plagued me for years. In the song "Drive" by THE CARS, part of the chorus goes:

"You can't go on...thinking nothing's wrong...BLANK BLANK...who's gonna drive you home tonight?"

Each BLANK represents a syllable (or possibly a one-syllable word). I've never been able to hear properly what the singer is saying. I think it might be "poor guy" but can't be sure.

Your help would be greatly appreciated!
