Just was wondering for the thousandth time today about the end of RESPECT: now does or doesn't Aretha sing "we're runnin' outta food an' I ain't lyin'..."

I have always understood it to be
You're runnin' out of foolin'
And I ain't lyin'
Which makes a little more sense anyway, as regards the theme of the song.
