Subject: Really obscure song - Australian maybe???

I have a friend who's looking for the lyrics of a song she heard a long time ago - I'm not sure if an Australian person sang it - I have very sketchy details :-\\
She thinks the song might've been called Magdalena and the lyrics went something like:
"Don't know if she needs me or not
Don't know if her forehead is cold or hot"
I know I haven't give you all much to go on but if anyone could remember the song I'd be appreciative.
