Subject: this song is driving me nuts

ok so i was stuck for 4 hours in traffic and i have a crappy radio (seeing how it's a coat antenna) so this song that i hadnt heard in years came on but it was all static and then finally cut out so it drove me nuts for the next 4 hours trying to figure out the right lyrics and who sings it :\'(
this is what i got:
"the feel is gone and the love is wrong (?) then more lines and then it changes more upbeat and goes "i will i wont"
...and that's all i got that kept cutting in and out...
it was a guy singing so im assuming and older band from the 90's...
PLEASE HELP ME OUT! :-[
