My friends and I have been searching for a particular song for the past two years.  We believe that the song is from the early to mid 80's.  None of us know the title or the artist.  The best we can do is come up with a couple of lines.  They are as follows:


Love, you are my love
because your lips are saying words
inside my head

Love, you are my love
because the night belongs to lovers
as we are

A peculiar fact about his song is that the first "Love" in each verse is drawn out and sung in a stutter.  So, the effect is more like "L-o-o-o-o-ve, you are my love".  Also, there may be one verse in the song that is sung in a different language.  Perhaps in Italian or French.

I know that the words are similar to the song "Because The Night" by Patti Smith and by the 10,000 maniacs.  This is not the song we are looking for.  I know that this is little information to work with.  But I have seen miracles performed on this site with less info.  I guess I am hoping for a small miracle  here.  If anyone knows the name of the song or the artist, or any other information that may help me track this song down, please help.
