I actually had a 45 of this song...  On the reverse was a song called Magic Carpet Ride (not Steppenwolf's).
I remember it not being terrible.  I don't know what the cheese factor would be hearing that song agian compared to what I thnk I remember about it now though. 

I liked "When we Kiss" too.  I still listen to it from time to time (mp3).

I thought the video was total 80's at it's best ... how do you get a copy of that??
